Sooo I heard that President Obama will give a live speech next Tuesday (September 8) at 12p.m for all our American children to watch while in school. He says the speech will be about how important it is to stay in school and get a higher education. It sounds like a very good idea to me..but has got so many parents across the nation upset. There saying that they don't agree with his policies and they don't feel comfortable having their children listen to him and that they don't want their kids to be brain washed. And even one parent said that its their responsibility to tell their kids to stay in school and do well, not the President. Well to me it seems like an excellent idea. 1st of all, there are thousands of kids that drop out of school and just get into trouble every year. Maybe the parents aren't doing enough, or maybe its just the kids, or maybe they need someone who is in charge & got their degree (President Obama) to show them that they CAN do it and make it through school to get that dream job. I think it would be very inspirational to many children and open their eyes and realize that doing good in school will soon pay off. I honestly don't understand what so many parents have against Obama, yet when is it ever bad to tell kids to stay in school and do well? Dem parents be trippin'!!
