Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Movie Review

This movie stars Matthew McConaughey & Jennifer Garner. Matthew McConaughey plays a character named Conner that is a player & a major ass hole that uses his hard to get attitude to sleep with many women. He is visited by 3 ghosts: ghost of girlfriends past, future, & present...he then realizes that Jennifer Garner's character named Jenny, is his true love & he tries to fix things between him & her so she doesn't marry some other guy. I am really into chick flicks but I have to say that this movie was pretty boring & really corny. I had one or two few "ha ha" but that was about it. One part of the movie kind of confused me because one of the "ghosts" that visited him is his secretary that is still alive...I don't understand how she was able to be one of the ghosts that visited him when she's not even dead. And its one of those typical movies that the jerk character of the movie ruins everyones lives & at the end of the movie he realizes he's a jerk so he tries to fix everything & they all live happily ever after. The end. It's one of those movies that you rent on DVD and even though it pretty much sucked, you're so glad you didn't pay any more to see it in theaters.  I give it ** for being boring & not so funny & a bad story line.

A new movie called Paranormal Activity has audiences across America freaked out! So far by about 89 reviews on yahoo! movies, it has an A- rating. This movie is about a couple that has "something" in their house. The Great American Model & Talent Search

Ever since I was a little girl I've always loved dressing up & posing in front of the mirror & for pictures. When I was 10 years old I was featured in a Hometown Buffet Commercial. The end. Lol. Yup that's how it feels. It feels like my path to stardom just completely ended. At 14 years old I have been attending "model & talent searches" and nothing good has ever come out of them. Sure all of them said that I have "star quality". Sure all of them said I can make it in the business. But my family never had the thousands of dollars these companies wanted to make it happen for me, or TRY to make it happen. So now at 21 years old I tried again for my chance to become a somebody. On Tuesday I had heard on the radio about a model & talent search that would be done at a local hotel. So last minute I attended to see what's up. I admit I wasn't looking my best. The night before I had gotten about 3 hours of sleep from studying all night & I had just come out from a Microbiology lab looking like crap. I was wearing sweats & a Hello Kitty shirt haha. Anyway all they had me do was read a line for a Coca Cola commercial & so I did & just like that they said I was chosen for the next step. Don't ask me how or why they chose me, but they did. So they ask me to come on Wednesday for a meeting about the next step. So I show up for this meeting & it wasn't surprising that they just wanted money out of everyone who attended. They said if we pay $689 that they can have us attend a convention in Dallas,TX that will have about 20 big name companies to look at us. But we still had to pay for our plane ticket, hotel, food all out of our own pocket. I'm a poor college kid & there is no way that I can pay for it, yet it's not even guaranteed that they'll like us. Sure we get "exposure" but it's not guaranteed. I remember on the Tyra Show, Tyra has always said that you should NEVER pay to model, they should pay you! She said that if they really like you and truly see potential, they will PAY for you to go get seen. I admit I'm disappointed once again that I can't do modeling or acting. I guess it's not in the cards for me. & I guess I will have to move to L.A. or New York for real exposure & go to casting calls. How many of you have been disappointed by those model & talent searches?

haha I have had numerous responses about my blog on the Nick Lachey tie to winnit.com, some good responses & some mean ones haha...anyway...I was probably upset at the time I posted my personal opinion about winnit.com, and sure if you win, its really worth it, but I am still skeptical about it, and really unsure... so MAYBE I will consider trying it again, but not anytime soon...I'm stil hurt by that $60 I lost..hah..so I was going ask you guys, are there any tricks to the winnit.com? or any advice. . .

Gay Exorcism?

Ok. I was on youtube.com and came across this video of a "Gay Exorcism" being done on a teen. People are always going to disagree with homosexuals but I just think this is WRONG! Teens can make their own choices about their sexuality & as long as they are doing whatever they decide to do SAFE, then that's their own personal life & people should mind their own business. It shouldn't be a subject handled in church. Especially due to the fact that most Christian religions believe that Jesus will love a person unconditionally, no matter what. I do not know what religion this church is but here's the video I found so you can see for yourself & tell me what you think.Also the teen from the video will be on the Tyra Show on Tuesday to talk about it and supposedly he says that he's no longer gay thanks to the exorcism? Weird.

NICK LACHEY ON RACHEL RAY PROMOTING WINNIT.COM & TURNS OUT IT'S A SCAM!!

So on September 18th, 2009 Nick Lachey was on the Rachel Ray show and he said that he is involved with a site called winnit.com. This is from Rachelrayshow.com: "Nick's latest project is working with Winnit.com. "It's a reverse auction website," he explains, "where you have the opportunity to bid on everything from iPods to handbags to luxury automobiles." Unlike other auction sites where the item goes to the highest bidder, Nick says that with Winnit.com the winner is the person who has the lowest unique bid."     So last night I decided to open up an account to see what the fuss is about...and well it's a scam!!!! It is truly a reverse bid, which sounds nice right? But no. This is how it works: You sign up, they give you $5 bonus for just signing up. Then in order to place a bid, they charge you $1 EVERYTIME for a bid! And the whole object of it, is to have a unique lowest bid that no one else can guess, and if you are able to keep that unique lowest bid until the bidding is over, then you win that item. So I tried bidding on a iPod Touch. The bid started at a PENNY. zso my first bid was for $0.07...then it gave me a message saying that the lowest unique bid was between $6.86-$7.10. Now they don't tell you around where the lowest bid is until AFTER you make your first bid. I've really been wanting an iPod Touch, so I deposited $25 dollars into my account to try to win it. So after about 4 minutes, my $25 went down the drain...I used all my money trying to guess the lowest unique bid and couldn't find it. So I noticed that there was about 2 minutes left on the clock so I was determined to win it. So I deposited an extra $35 to my account, and sure enough I found the lowest unique bid...and I was all happy counting down the seconds until the iPod was officially mine, until about two seconds until it was over someone had guessed my unique number, and soon there's was the NEW unique number and they won the damn iPod and I ended up WASTING $60 TRYING TO WIN A STUPID IPOD TOUCH ON WINNIT.COM. At first it didn't make sense to me how winnit.com can sell iPods and Louis Vuitton bags for about 10 cents...but now I know the truth...they make a whole lot of money from all the $1 bids that people pay for trying to guess the unique number that no one else has. So in the end, winnit.com makes a profit WAY larger than the item is even worth, which means WinnIt.com is ripping off people & making a shit load of money doing it. Reverse bidding is only for those lucky ones that can guess it in one shot, not spending much money on the bidding, which is a 1 in 100,000 chance of winning the item... Bottom line: don't try reverse bidding unless you have tons of money to just waste. Also I am so pissed off that i lost $60 trying to win an iPod...ugh!

So turns out Kanye did it again... he went up on stage and made a fool of himself. I admit, I like his music and his style, but sometimes he does cross the line. At the MTV Video Music Awards Kanye West went up on stage while Taylor Swift was accepting her award and took the mic away from her and said that Beyonce should have gotten the award cause she has the best video. I was in shock. A grown man disrespecting & embarrassing a TEENAGER on live television is just ridiculous, I mean how much lower can you go. Once I saw it, I felt so bad for her. Some movie reviews...

We all love going to the movies and here are some of my personal movie reviews:

1) Adventureland- from so many people I heard that this movie was "hilarious" and a movie you should buy...WRONG!!! the movie I say was ok, and it had its few 2 or 3 funny moments where I got a slight smile on my face, but other than that I thought the movie was so damn slow and boring. I actually fell asleep near the end. This movie is advertised wrong. It's not a comedy movie, its more of a serious movie that has some drama in it. bottom line, it was too slow for me & really boring. thank god i only rented it. i give it ** 
2) Inglorious Bastards- Quentin Tarantino's movies are very bloody & violent & just different. Which makes this movie pretty awesome! The ending of the movie is probably how a lot of people wish WWII would have ended...it was kinda cool. This movie has chapters & stuff kind of like Kill Bill did. I give it **** for it being one bad ass movie
3)The Time Travelers Wife- great chick flick! haha. Guys most likely won't like this one, but ladies will definitely love it. It's a romantic & sad at the same time. Makes you miss your significant other & want to hug them. I personally give it **** because it really touched me & made me cry :(
4) The orphan- this was scary! and I liked this one because to me the story was different & really had a nice twist to it & it was something I'd never seen before. I give it ****

Weekends over & now its time to study blah...

So how was everyones Labor Day Weekend? Mine was ok. Friday I was exhausted so I stayed in. Then Sat I went to a place called Western Playland, In case you don't know, it's a crappy local amusement park in El Paso,TX. Thats a pic of it above there lol. Anyway the picture of it above is a new location that it was moved to a couple years ago and its totally not the same as it used to be when I was a kid. To me, the rides didn't last as long and there were like a couple rides missing that haven't been back since the whole movement of Western Playland. It's more for little kids I'd say for anyone 15 years old and below. Other than that Western Playland blows! Also Sat was a UTEP (University of Texas @ El Paso) vs. Buffalo and they lost 23-17...am I surprised? NO! ha. I am sorry to say but, UTEP football sucks...bad...and it's sad. lol. My student ticket is free to go to the game, but why would I want to waste my time when everyone knows they will lose? I know I know that its bad that I have no school spirit...but how can I if they keep losing...and the fact that some of the football players keep getting arrested for stealing electronics...They are obviously not very smart kids. Anyway I think the top #1 reason why so many people go to the games is because...THERES NOTHING TO DO IN EL PASO,TX! Going to a UTEP football game is just a sign of pure boredom. Shoot, I'd rather be at Western Playland, where the action really is ha! lol. and heres a funny video of something you would probably only see at a UTEP football game..a hand job?! wtf?!

Heidi Montag from The Hills and some other stupid shows that probably no one even watched. She is a super super FAKE girl. Parents say Obama wants to "brainwash" kids?! WRONG!! Those parents are just...let's just say they're special people lol

Sooo I heard that President Obama will give a live speech next Tuesday (September 8) at 12p.m for all our American children to watch while in school. He says the speech will be about how important it is to stay in school and get a higher education. It sounds like a very good idea to me..but has got so many parents across the nation upset. There saying that they don't agree with his policies and they don't feel comfortable having their children listen to him and that they don't want their kids to be brain washed. And even one parent said that its their responsibility to tell their kids to stay in school and do well, not the President. Well to me it seems like an excellent idea. 1st of all, there are thousands of kids that drop out of school and just get into trouble every year. Maybe the parents aren't doing enough, or maybe its just the kids, or maybe they need someone who is in charge & got their degree (President Obama) to show them that they CAN do it and make it through school to get that dream job. I think it would be very inspirational to many children and open their eyes and realize that doing good in school will soon pay off. I honestly don't understand what so many parents have against Obama, yet when is it ever bad to tell kids to stay in school and do well? Dem parents be trippin'!! Today I was watching TV and saw a commercial for the lawyer Brian Loncar...and it turns out that there is now a lawsuit against the birth control Yaz and Yasmin. Apparently people have had life threatening side effects & I heard somewhere else that some have actually died? First it was the Nuva Ring and now them...which brings me to this question...don't all birth control pills have serious effects that may or may not happen? Everyone reacts to ALL types of medications differently and majority of all birth control have warnings in their information pamphlet that there are increase chances of blood clots and maybe even a stroke. hmm. it just puzzles me and makes me wonder what really happened with Yaz and Yasmin. 

Also I am a sucker for reality shows...haha...soo for all you that like Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami...Sundays show (August 30) was good & funny. I knew Kim doesn't drink &  I thought it was funny yet dumb that she got drunk and threw up. I personally myself don't drink too much so I know how it is to not be the "life of the party." I like to have just like one good sweet tastin' drink and I'm good for the night. I don't like waking up messed up & hung over. ewww it's the worst ever!!! And besides that episode, I do give Kim major props for not giving into peer pressure, as we all know, it ain't always for good things. Other than that Kourtney & Khloe make me laugh & always put a smile on my face..love watching their show!
